This level is for players that have at least 1 year of experience in Rookies or possess a more advanced level of hand-eye coordination and the capacity to follow safety guidelines. Players begin to pitch at this level, though game-time scenarios sometimes require a coach to pitch. Players in this division begin to learn how to steal bases.
What a player and family should expect:
Baseball rules apply: 3 outs; 3 strikes result in an out. Coaches pitch to players from a standing position. Emphasis on proper mechanics: throwing, fielding, and batting. A fun and safe environment that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, listening and attention. This division includes an end of season, double elimination tournament.
Parents and coaches are strongly encouraged to participate in the facilitation of practices and games that promote a safe, instructive and fun environment.
Schedule: Two to three events per week, each 2 hours, as weather and daylight allow, including potential Saturdays. Spring games will be played in Lake Stevens, while Fall games will play home games as well as away games at other District 1 fields.
Field Specifications: 46-foot pitching distance and 60-foot base path.
Equipment: Players receive a jersey and hat.
Tryouts & Draft: Players registered for Farm are required to attend tryouts. This division does involve a draft, but all players will be placed on a team.

- Athletic cup (Use of an athletic cup is mandatory in Farm Division and above)
- Matching belt & socks (Coach to decide on colors and notify families)

Bat Rules - All bats must display the USA Baseball certification mark and have a maximum barrel diameter of 2 5/8 inches. It shall not be more than 33 inches in length, and if wood, not less than fifteen-sixteenths (15/16) inches in diameter (7/8 inch for bats less than 30″) at its smallest part. Wood bats taped or fitted with a sleeve may not exceed sixteen (16) inches from the small end.
NOTE 1: Solid one-piece wood barrel bats do not require a USA Baseball logo.
